Going from an ugly green screen to a beautiful web page!
Many organisations rely on legacy "green screen" systems for critical data management. This presentation will demonstrate a practical approach to modernising these systems. Using a case study of a traditional data table, we will walk through the entire process, from data extraction to creating a functional, user-friendly web interface.
The session will cover:
• Utilising SQL for efficient data extraction and manipulation.
• Key technologies and tools for building the web front-end.
• Best practices for ensuring data integrity and a seamless user experience.
This workshop is designed to show that modernising legacy systems doesn't have to be a daunting task. Attendees will leave with a clear roadmap and a better understanding of the technologies needed to tackle similar modernisation projects. We will take a DB2 table and perform the usual CRUD operational tasks. This approach can be used for any table in Db2 for i
