Deployable architectures are changing the way IBM clients design, deploy, and manage infrastructure. With IBM Cloud Schematics and Terraform automation, organizations can rapidly provision production-ready environments that are consistent, resilient, and secure. In this session, discover how the new FalconStor StorSafe PowerVS Deployable Architecture delivers faster time to value for IBM Power (IBMi, AIX, Linux) customers, including simplifying SAP HANA protection, and reduces storage costs&#8212;all with single-tile deployment through the IBM Catalog.
<description>IBM deployable architectures provide pre-validated design patterns that simplify and accelerate hybrid cloud adoption. Using Terraform and IBM Cloud Schematics, they deliver single-click provisioning, end-to-end automation, and consistent governance across environments.
This session introduces the FalconStor StorSafe PowerVS Deployable Architecture, now available in the IBM Catalog. Built for IBM Power customers, it enables rapid deployment of production-ready data protection infrastructure that integrates seamlessly with existing backup environments. StorSafe helps reduce storage costs with deduplication and hybrid cloud tiering, while strengthening security with immutability and ransomware defense.
We&#8217;ll also highlight the SAP HANA Deployable Architecture with StorSafe integration, which delivers a complete application and data protection stack&#8212;including backup to StorSafe and offsite replication to IBM Cloud Object Storage. Attendees will learn how these deployable architectures enable faster deployments, lower risk, and improved resilience in IBM Power environments.</description>

Going from an ugly green screen to a beautiful web page!

Many organisations rely on legacy &quot;green screen&quot; systems for critical data management. This presentation will demonstrate a practical approach to modernising these systems. Using a case study of a traditional data table, we will walk through the entire process, from data extraction to creating a functional, user-friendly web interface.
The session will cover:
&#8226; Utilising SQL for efficient data extraction and manipulation.
&#8226; Key technologies and tools for building the web front-end.
&#8226; Best practices for ensuring data integrity and a seamless user experience.

This workshop is designed to show that modernising legacy systems doesn&apos;t have to be a daunting task. Attendees will leave with a clear roadmap and a better understanding of the technologies needed to tackle similar modernisation projects. We will take a DB2 table and perform the usual CRUD operational tasks. This approach can be used for any table in Db2 for i

Modernizing legacy applications has always been a challenge, especially when you want to maintain the stability and reliability of IBM i and Power. But what if you could automatically transform decades of RPG-code into a modern application, without losing your valuable&#160;business logic or data?
That&#8217;s exactly what Thinkwise has achieved. With the new AI-Upcycler, RPG-applications can now be analyzed, understood, and modernized automatically, while IBM i and Db2 remain fully in place.
<description>In this session, Victor Klaren, Co-Founder and Chief Visionary Officer at Thinkwise, will show how this breakthrough works in practice, the results it delivers, and what it means for the future of your IBM i landscape.
Join this session to discover what&#8217;s next for RPG, and how to move from legacy to innovation, faster than ever.</description>

How to migrate from BRMS 5770BR1 to 5770BR2
<description>If you want to run Backup Recovery and Media Services on IBM I with full support, we all know what needs to be done.
This is due to the official the end of support on the last day of September. For sure we can stay running BRMS 5770-BR1 hoping if we end up into trouble it will be a known defect.
If you do not want to take that risk, the move to 5770-BR2 can no longer be postponed.
In this session I will explain how the migration can be done, using the BRMS migration documentation and some RSS usage.
Also the BRMS subscription licensing needs some explaining and a demo of the new HTTP server will be given.</description>

As the business landscape evolves, so must the technology that supports it. IBM i remains a robust and reliable platform, but many organizations are looking to extend its capabilities beyond traditional RPG development. In this session, we&#8217;ll explore how Python brings new life to IBM i &#8212; enabling modern, scalable, and open-source application development without abandoning the platform&#8217;s trusted stability.
You&#8217;ll learn how to run modern Python applications natively on IBM i, integrate them with existing RPG and DB2 systems, and gradually modernize legacy code. Through practical examples and migration strategies, we&#8217;ll discuss how teams can leverage Python&#8217;s rich ecosystem to modernize workflows, enhance productivity, and attract new developer talent &#8212; all while preserving the value of their IBM i investment.
By the end of this session, you&#8217;ll have a clear roadmap for starting your organization&#8217;s journey from RPG to Python and unlocking the next generation of IBM i innovation.

What is i-Chi? It is about thinking differently about IBM i System Management, embracing new ideas, automating processes and monitoring, using IBM i functions in ACS, Nav4i, ARE, IBM i Services, and Integrating IBM i SysAdmin with other platforms and reducing your reliance on the 5250 command line.
In this session, we give practical examples of how to do this that you can start to use today on your systems using tools that are free to use, already installed on your systems, and all without the use of the 5250 green screen.

                <abstract>AI drives economic growth but only 5% of enterprises have seen actual return-on-investment, facing obstacles with complexities, skill gaps, and data privacy. With its renewed AI portfolio, IBM Power addresses these obstacles through drastically simplifying, speeding-up, and hardening AI in IBM Power&apos;s key contexts that empower thousands of enterprises - reliably operating mission-critical backoffice, IT, and development workloads while ensuring a secure access to managed data.&#160;
Learn how this portfolio comes to life with products such as IBM Spyre&#8482; for Power, IBM Project Bob, and IBM watsonx.data for Power, hear the wider strategy and roadmap for AI with IBM Power, and understand how you can drive business transformations successfully with quickly measurable return-on-investment.

Habanero is a fully managed hybrid cloud data protection service designed to optimize IBM Power and IBM Cloud environments. It provides rapid on-premises recovery, accelerated data movement to and from cloud, and secure long-term storage with built-in compliance. Delivered as a service, Habanero removes the complexity of managing infrastructure, networks, and storage while supporting use cases such as disaster recovery, cyber resilience, and archive. This session will show how Habanero integrates with IBM hybrid cloud architectures to simplify and optimize resilience and compliance.

With the new IBM i 7.6 announce the operating system now supports a fully integrated MFA security option. Each user profile can now be given an additional factor to help make sure that the user accessing the IBM i is who they say they are. Come hear and see Tim explain this new support and better yet give a live demo on how it works.</description>

Join us as we explore the world of open-source tools for system management, starting with fundamental concepts and progressing to practical applications on IBM i with Prometheus for operational monitoring and Grafana for data visualization. We will also introduce Manzan, IBM i&apos;s new open-source solution for seamless integration with modern infrastructure monitoring tools. Have you ever wanted to receive Slack notifications for critical system errors, or perhaps send syslogs directly to monitoring dashboards like Sentry or Grafana Loki? With Manzan, not only is all of this now possible, but it also unlocks the potential for AI-driven system management. Don&#8217;t miss this opportunity to see how you can enhance your system&apos;s monitoring capabilities with minimal setup and maximum flexibility.
